We've been published!

If you pick up the November 2015 copy of Town & Country magazine you'll find our photos of Emma and John's wedding! We shot this amazing multi-day celebration with our good friends Anais + Dax. We'll be sharing more photos next week, so stay tuned!

Christine + Michael | Topanga Canyon, California

Christine and Michael are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. They are immediately warm and welcoming and have absolutely infectious smiles. Christine was breathtaking in a stunning Jenny Packham gown and honestly the two of them together just took our breath away. Special thanks to Myles Pettengill for bringing us in to help photograph this wedding! Coordinated by Happily, every detail was well thought out and perfectly in place and with all the oak trees on the property, The 1909 is now one of our favorite places to shoot! This wedding was full of love, laughter and drop dead gorgeousness - we loved being a part of it! Congratulations, Christine and Michael!!!

Danielle + Jason | Los Angeles, California

Danielle and Jason are very good friends of ours. We've known them since before they first started dating and have watched their relationship grow into a bond stronger than any ceremony or marriage certificate could prove. This photo session actually occurred more than a year ago, but we share it now because they have exchanged rings in their own way and committed their love and devotion without the confines of social expectations. They are defining their love and relationship on their own terms. They set a fine example that love knows no rules or bounds but is instead pure joy, comfort, and trust. We love them dearly and wish them love and happiness for years to come!

Alex + Julie | Santa Monica, California

Alex is a true romantic at heart. These two had a plan to become engaged on an upcoming trip, but Alex wanted the engagement to be a surprise. They always take a walk down the Santa Monica Pier after their Thursday night dance class so Alex thought it would be the perfect setting where she would be completely unsuspecting. We talked briefly on the phone about where he would stop her and exchanged photos since we had never met!

When we arrived the night of the proposal we were amazed to see that the Ferris Wheel was lit up with a heart. We couldn't have asked for a better backdrop! We carefully looked at every couple who walked by, yet tried to remain incognito - we didn't want to miss them! Fortunately, we recognized them instantly. They were both beaming and walking with a certain lightness to their step. As they made a second pass he stopped her - almost perfectly under a lamp post. They chatted, she threw her head back and laughed... then he paused, lowered down to his knee and held out his hand.

She immediately covered her face as the reality of what was happening took hold. She then squealed with joy and threw her arms around his neck. She laughed and cried with pure happiness... and said YES. Other people passing by on the pier clapped and shouted their congratulations and we too were swept up in their joy as Alex pointed us out in the crowd. She was thrilled and gave us huge hugs (which we love because if you've met us you know we are huggers!).

These two are an incredibly sweet couple and we were so honored to be a part of their life's journey together. Alex and Julie, we wish you the best of what life has to offer and many wonderful years together filled with laugher and happiness!

Andy + Sophia | Boulder Creek, California

This was one of those weddings that had something a little extra special for us.  It was a weekend affair in the redwoods with an incredible group of people and an amazing couple.  Andy and Sophia were married amongst the redwoods in Boulder Creek, California at the YMCA Camp Campbell.  It rained the morning of their wedding day but it did not dampen this couple's excitement and celebratory atmosphere. They ended up having to move the ceremony location from inside a redwood grove to a dryer location outside the ring of trees, but it couldn't have been more perfect.  The sun beamed from behind the clouds when they were announced husband and wife.  From the incredible couple's portraits adventuring through the forest finding a Leprechaun trail, beautiful moss covered stumps, and towering trees - to the reception that was filled with love from family and friends dancing all night long to their favorite songs played by an incredible 80s cover band.  This wedding is best described by one word: magical.  Thank you, Andy and Sophia, for inviting us to capture your truly amazing wedding day and congratulations to you both!

Melissa + Greg | Beverly Hills, California

We were so excited to photograph Melissa and Greg's wedding after having spent a morning with them for their engagement session last September (see their engagement post here). They are such a fun couple to be around with their kind spirits and love for each other enveloping everything around them. The day was full of smiles, love, and laughter with both families full of energy, love, and support for their union. After getting ready and taking some couple's portraits with a stunning sunset backdrop at the Four Seasons, their wedding was held at the beautifully romantic Il Cielo in Beverly Hills, CA. It was a fun and spirited reception all the way up to the final moments when Il Cielo's wedding chariot escorted Melissa and Greg back to the Four Seasons while being serenaded by a singer and accordion player! We had a blast photographing their wedding and wish them an abundance of love and laughter in their marriage. Congratulations, Melissa and Greg!

Pascal + Genevieve | Malibu, California

Genevieve and Stacie have been friends for over a decade and when she met Pascal, everything just fit. She was happier than Stacie had ever seen her. When they asked us to document their day we were honored and really excited. Genevieve says it best, "When Pascal proposed in a lavender field in Provence, we hadn't a care in the world. Visions of my dream gown, lavender, and lace filled my head. Things quickly changed, for the worse, and we suffered two family tragedies that made a wedding seem not so very important. After being engaged for well over a year, we decided that it was time. Why wait any longer? We wanted to do it before the year was over, which was soon - really soon. In fact, we found ourselves in the position of planning a wedding in a month! I want you to know that yes, it's possible. You can plan a wedding that is beautiful and elegant in just a few weeks. We did." That they did! With an Airbnb rental on a farm in the Malibu hills to get ready for the day and a daytime beach wedding at The Sunset Restaurant where a small group of friends and family gathered to witness their vows, their wedding was everything they hoped it would be. It was lovely and simple and filled with so much love between them and their friends and family. It's so special for us to witness the love of close friends, be there to help celebrate, and give them something special to cherish forever. Congratulations Pascal and Genevieve…cheers to a forever love.

Dave + Emily | Los Angeles, California

A Los Angeles love affair. Dave and Emily met in Los Angeles, fell in love in Los Angeles, and got married in Los Angeles. These two are so perfectly matched for one another with their quirky sense of humor, their no-nonsense personalities, and their endless love for one another. They lit each other up, giving us those perfect moments that you can't plan. The ceremony and reception were held at The Unique Space downtown. The Unique Space is definitely unique! With exposed brick and fun wallpaper throughout, graffitied walls outside, and a fantastic view from the rooftop, we didn't lack for backdrops. What we love most about this couple is they selected what was most important to them and skipped the rest. The mother of the bride made the wedding dress, they made beautiful paper flowers for the bouquets and boutonniere, had large balloons with tassels for the decorations, and the centerpieces were glass jars filled with oranges - which they donated to a homeless shelter the following day. One of the most important things for them was the food, which did not lack. Staying true to their LA roots, dinner was care of Roy Choi's Kogi Truck and dessert was by The Pie Hole, LA. The second of importance was photography, which we were honored to be able to provide. Sticking to what mattered most to them made for a fantastic, lovely party with a great group of family and friends. Dave and Emily, the best to you both!

Scott + Eileen | Agoura Hills + El Matador Beach, Malibu, California

Scott and Eileen came to us to help them create a reimagining of their wedding.  Married almost a year ago, and opting to have family and friends take their wedding photos, they didn't quite capture everything they were hoping for.  Challenge accepted!  We had an amazing time in Agoura Hills, California.  The two of them dressed in their wedding clothes, walking up and down the rolling hills, and a beautiful setting under an oak tree for them to recreate their ceremony.  To our surprise, they had written new vows to reconfirm the love they have for each other and recited them as the sun set behind the hills.  After the rustic setting, we headed to El Matador beach in Malibu, to catch the sunset and some beautiful moments at last light.  We wish Scott and Eileen love and light in their lives together and we feel so fortunate to be able to help them recreate these memories.

Bethany + Chris | Burbank, California

Bethany and Chris, the rocker and the clothing designer, and their beautiful wedding at Calamigos Equestrian in Burbank, California. The bride showed her impeccable style with her gorgeous detailed lace gown, jeweled hairpiece, and brown, leather, knee-high boots. The groom performed, serenading his love with a song he wrote especially for her. Family and friends joined in the celebration playing music by request and getting down on the dance floor. The love between these two was magical and we loved every moment of documenting their day.
